Just Progress™ is a product of LogBlues.
Short version: version 1.0 keeps your profile, health information, notes, progress and Coach conversations on your phone. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking.
What is collected
Nothing is collected by LogBlues in version 1.0. The profile you enter during setup, the steps you check off, your streaks, badges and any biomarker readings you log are written to your device's local application storage and stay there.
Network access
Just Progress works offline once it is set up, and it does not transmit your profile, health information, notes, progress or Coach conversations. There is one exception to the offline part, and it is worth stating plainly: the optional AI Coach needs an internet connection once, to download its model file. Until that download happens the Coach cannot work; after it, the Coach never needs the network again. Everything else — your path, your history, your numbers and the evidence library — works with no connection at all. The application reaches the network for two things only: that model download if you ask for it, and opening an external link in your browser when you tap one. Ordinary network connection information may be visible to the service you contact and to network providers.
Downloading the AI Coach
If you choose to install the on-device Coach, the model file is downloaded from Hugging Face. Like any internet download, the request necessarily reveals ordinary connection information, including your IP address and device or network information, to Hugging Face and network providers. Just Progress does not add your profile, health information, notes, Coach questions, advertising identifier or an application account to that request. Hugging Face handles connection information under its own privacy policy at https://huggingface.co/privacy. Once the file is on your phone, the Coach never needs the network again.
No online or premium Coach
No feature in this version sends anything you type, ask or record to any server, ours or anyone else's. If that ever changes it will be opt-in, off by default, labelled at the point you turn it on, and described here before it ships.
On-device personalization
Everything you record is used, on this device, to build a picture of how you actually work — your strongest days, the steps that keep slipping, the pace that suits you. That model is derived on your phone and stored on your phone. It is never uploaded. Turning off "Learn from what I record" in Settings stops the derivation and discards the model.
The Coach runs on this device
The Coach is a language model that runs on your phone. Once the model file has been downloaded it never contacts anything again — your questions, the answers, and the reasoning in between all stay on the handset, and it works with the phone in aeroplane mode.
There is no server, no account and no API key. Nothing you ask it is transmitted anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go.
Health Connect
If you choose to connect Health Connect, Just Progress reads your step count, distance, exercise sessions, active calories burned, heart rate, resting heart rate, sleep and weight from it, in order to fill those figures in for you. Those eight are the only types it asks for. Access is read-only — nothing is ever written back — and the values are stored on your device exactly like anything you type in by hand. They are not transmitted anywhere. You can revoke the permission at any time in Android's Health Connect settings, and the application continues to work normally without it.
Analytics and advertising
There are none. No third-party analytics, no advertising identifier, and no crash-reporting service that carries your health data. Just Progress sends no usage analytics.
Children
Just Progress is not directed at children and should not be used by anyone under 18.
Your control
You can view everything stored about you inside the application. Uninstalling the application, or using the reset control in Settings, permanently deletes all local data. Because there is no server copy, LogBlues cannot recover it for you afterwards.
HIPAA does not apply, and that matters
Many people assume any health app is covered by HIPAA. It is not. HIPAA governs health care providers, health plans and their business associates. LogBlues is none of those, so HIPAA gives you no protection here — from us or from any other consumer health app.
What protects your health information in Just Progress is not a statute, it is the design: Just Progress does not upload it, so LogBlues has no server copy to demand, breach, sell or subpoena.
Consumer health data
Some US states, including Washington and Nevada, regulate "consumer health data" specifically and give you rights over it. Our position is straightforward: LogBlues does not collect, store, share or sell consumer health data. Your profile, readings, notes, Health Connect figures, Coach conversations and Progress Score exist only in your device's own storage.
We do not sell personal information or consumer health data, for money or for anything else, and we have never done so. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, insurers or employers. There is no mechanism in this application by which we could.
Your rights under US state law
State privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, give you rights to know what is collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. You can exercise all of them yourself, immediately, without asking us: everything is on your device, the app shows you all of it, and the reset control in Settings deletes it permanently. LogBlues holds no copy to produce or erase.
If you believe we hold something about you, write to us through the form at logblues.com/contact.html and we will answer. We will not ask you to verify your identity by sending us more personal information than we already have, which is none.
Breach notification
Because we hold no personal or health information, there is nothing on our side to breach. If that ever changed, the Federal Trade Commission's Health Breach Notification Rule would require us to notify you and the FTC, and we would.
Backups and device transfer
Version 1.0 asks Android not to include this application's files in cloud backup or device-to-device transfer. Android backup behavior can vary by operating-system version and device manufacturer, so keep your phone secured and erase it before disposal. Uninstalling Just Progress, using its reset control or losing the device may permanently erase your information because LogBlues has no server copy to restore.
Do Not Track
Just Progress does not track you across other websites or applications, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. The application has no web browser, sets no cookies and carries no advertising or third-party tracking identifier. We therefore do not respond differently to Do Not Track signals, because there is no behaviour to change.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top changes and the change is described in the app's update notes. We will not quietly broaden what we collect.
