Team data sharing

Know what is saved here, and what reached the team.

Optional team data sharing connects authorized devices to the same clinic. It helps a clinic coordinate work across computers while keeping local saving, remote acknowledgement and another device's receipt as separate states.

Availability: Use only the supported clinic-sharing configuration available to your account. Updated status wording and recovery behavior remain under testing. A summary status is not a guarantee that another device received a particular record.

How it works

  1. An authorized clinic owner or administrator sets up the supported sharing connection for the clinic.
  2. Sign in to the same clinic on each authorized device and check the account and clinic identity.
  3. Save a fictional test change locally, then inspect Saving & sharing for waiting changes, versions, refusals or errors.
  4. Wait for remote acknowledgement and independently open the same record on the other device. Verify the actual change there.
  5. If a save fails or versions need review, follow the warning and supported review path. Do not reset the clinic or discard the original work to clear an indicator.

Before you start

  • Use the same admitted clinic and an active authorized staff account on each linked device.
  • Enable the supported optional sharing service and maintain the connectivity it requires.
  • Keep the original work and use supported help if saving, authorization or conflict review fails.

Limits to keep in mind

  • A local save is different from server acknowledgement and another device's readback.
  • Offline or interrupted connections can delay sharing. No instant or loss-free synchronization guarantee is made here.
  • Different versions or refused changes can require review; do not overwrite history or bypass permissions to clear them.
  • Optional sharing transmits clinic data off the device. Read the Privacy Policy and confirm the service terms before enabling it.

Questions and answers

Does Saved mean everyone has the update?

No. Confirm local save, remote acknowledgement and receipt on the intended second device separately.

Can staff see any clinic on the same computer?

No. Clinic membership, sign-in and role permissions still apply; a shared computer is not authorization.

What should I do with a local-save warning?

Keep the original work and follow the warning or contact Support. Do not assume a reassuring summary clears the failure.

Is this the same as a backup?

No. Sharing current work and recovering from a backup serve different purposes. Review backup and recovery separately.
