The short version

LogBlues vs SimplePractice

For one doctor, the price is close. $50 here, $49 to $99 there.

The difference is what they add on. Their AI note-taker costs $35 a month extra. Their claims cost 39 cents each from October. Every extra provider costs $74 a month.

LogBlues includes Blues and 10 to 50 claims a month in every plan. A group of three pays $100 here and $247 there. At three providers that is $100 here against $352 there once their assistant is added, so roughly $3,000 a year stays in the practice.

LogBlues vs TherapyNotes

TherapyNotes costs $69 for one doctor. A group pays $79 for the first provider and $50 for each one after.

Their claim fees are low: 14 cents per claim, per payment report and per coverage check.

LogBlues costs $50 for one doctor and $100 for up to five. Claims are included before the meter starts. A group of three pays $100 here and $179 there. Three providers cost $100 here and $179 there, about $950 a year, and the gap doubles by the time you have five.

LogBlues vs Jane

Jane starts at $59 for one provider, but that plan stops at 20 appointments a month. The $79 and $99 plans have no limit.

Each added full-time provider is $35 a month on the Practice plan. Insurance billing costs $20 a month extra, plus $5 per full-time provider and $2.50 part-time. The AI scribe costs $15 per provider. There is no free trial.

LogBlues has no appointment limit on any plan. Blues and claims are included. The first two months are free. By the third practitioner their bill is near $225 a month against $100 here, which is roughly $1,500 a year.

LogBlues vs Practice Fusion

Practice Fusion starts at $199 per provider per month, with a one-year contract. Three providers pay $597 a month for a year, our arithmetic at three times $199.

LogBlues costs $100 a month for up to five providers, month to month.

One thing to know: Practice Fusion includes e-prescribing and lab links in that price. If you need those, count them. Three providers are $597 a month there and $100 here, about $6,000 a year, and their billing is still sold separately on top.

LogBlues vs athenahealth

athenahealth does not list prices. Reviews say they take a cut of what you collect, usually 4% to 8%.

A practice that collects $300,000 a year would pay about $12,000 to $24,000 on that model.

LogBlues costs $600 to $3,000 a year at the listed prices. The price never goes up when you collect more. On $40,000 collected a month their percentage is $1,600 to $3,200, against $100 here and fifty cents a claim.

LogBlues vs Sessions Health

Sessions Health costs $39 for one practitioner and $29 for each one after. The first three clients are free.

Their AI assistant costs $35 a month per practitioner and telehealth $10. Claims cost 19 to 25 cents each, which is less than ours.

LogBlues costs $50 for one doctor and $100 for up to five, with Blues included. A group of three pays $100 here and $97 there, or $202 there once every practitioner has the AI. The licenses are near level at $97 and $100, so the real difference is the assistant: $35 per practitioner there, included here, another $105 a month for three.

LogBlues vs Tebra

Tebra does not list prices. It is priced per provider, by quote, in five packages from a billing starter to an all-in-one, with a lower tier for providers who bill 100 claims a month or fewer. Front-desk staff are not charged there either.

LogBlues publishes every price, and the price is per practice: $50, $100 or $250 a month. You know the number before you talk to anyone. You cannot put a number on a quote, which is rather the point: one published price here, and the front desk never counted.

LogBlues vs Elation Health

Elation does not publish prices. Its page asks you to describe your practice and wait for a specialist to reply with a quote. Its billing service is priced the same way. Its notes assistant, Note Assist, gives each provider 10 notes a month at no cost.

LogBlues publishes every price, per practice, with the assistant and claims included: $50, $100 or $250 a month. A quote there, and another for billing; one published $100 a month here with all of it included, known before the first call.

LogBlues vs AdvancedMD

AdvancedMD prices by specialty and by provider: $130 to $399 for mental health, $429 to $1,070 for medical specialties, each month, each provider. Its AI tools are $100 a month per provider, claims run 87 cents to $1.74 each with billing only or $1.08 to $2.17 with the EHR, or a share of what you collect, and setup runs from no cost to $6,000.

A three-provider medical practice pays $1,287 to $3,210 a month there before AI or setup. LogBlues costs $100 a month for up to five providers, with Blues and claims included and nothing to set up.

What is the same everywhere

Every product on this page is built for HIPAA and signs a Business Associate Agreement. The others file claims electronically. LogBlues builds and checks the claim file and reads the payer’s answer you import.

The differences are the price, what is included, and where your records live. LogBlues keeps them on your computer, with an encrypted cloud backup. The others keep them in their cloud.
